Today is Taco Tuesday and y’all know it’s going to happen. I love Tacos and any excuse to eat them is good for me!
Tuesday’s Child is full of grace. I was born on a Tuesday. How do I know? My mother put the poem “A Week of Birthdays” in the cookbook she published for us. She listed all our birthday’s. My Dad and I were born on a Tuesday. So supposedly, I’m full of grace…..well, let’s hope God’s Grace shines out of me,….somehow!
It’s been a pretty quiet and relaxing day of which I am thankful. I’ll share this Tuesday’s events as they unfolded. It all started with God’s morning bread crumbs and of course, Karencoffee. Then I proceeded to catch up with the vital gossip of that social media app….along with more Karencoffee. I shortly found myself enjoying some sewing time and picking out material. Going through and picking out material for a project is an art all in itself when I sew something for someone because I think about that person and then choose the colors/patterns which remind me of them. I started quilting more blocks together (got a few more squares sewn on the cathedral quilt) and then went to cleaning because as I was descending the stairs to my quilting haven my feet were being tortured by small bits of debris so I started sweeping the stairs and when I reached the bottom step went on sweeping the area near and around. I discovered a little mouse…a little dead mouse! (yes, I screamed like a girl when I discovered the dead varmint — thank goodness it was already dead!) So that lead to disposing of it and since I was having to get rid of the varmint I emptied all the other trash downstairs which led me upstairs to the trash can outside which was still at the street (because Tuesday is also known as trash day around here) and of course when I went to gather the can I discovered they had not emptied it completely. If there is garbage just randomly in the can and not in a a bag they will not bang the can to get it all out. So that led to finding gloves and a rake to get the stuff at the bottom out and the can cleaned out which when all that was finished and I still had on the gloves it reminded me to plant the mums I purchased yesterday which led to some gardening (planted purple and yellow fall mums in the planter next to garage so when I drive up I can enjoy the pretty colors. They’re planted in the container which belonged to my sweet Mother-in-Law. Then I came in to scrub my hands and get out of the heat and I decided my nails needed painted in a faint orange shimmer sheen which I’m going to call “pumpkin spice” since it’s the season for all things pumpkin spice!
The best of today so far is….. I’ve had an epiphany of a way to add something on this blog to perhaps earn money. I’m so excited about it and can’t wait to share the idea with my husband. He will know the legal/business direction to take it. I hope it works out and you all will be the first to see it when I figure it out. I hope you’ve had a great day so far. It’s just been a relaxing day at home waiting on the electrician to service an issue and getting little things accomplished here…..oh, and brainstorming ideas. Count your blessings.
